Casting on, Weaving the Warp, Threading the Needle: THREADSTACK 2025
The year is starting off slowly and mindfully - here's what you can expect ...
On May 28, 2024, I announced the launch of Threadstack in my Create Me Free newsletter. On October 22, 2024, I moved it to its new home as its own publication. And today, I’m excited to share some ideas of what might happen here in 2025, knowing, of course, that as creative things develop, they take on a life of their own and so leaving room for change.
Threadstack is a directory and community for lovers of all things yarn and thread, fiber and fabric. It’s for crocheters, knitters, weavers, spinners, dyers, sewists, quilters, etc.
How you can use THREADSTACK
If you write about any of the related topics:
join the directory if you write about them regularly
submit a monthly link whether or not you’re in the directory
If you want to read about those topics
subscribe to THREADSTACK
subscribe to any of the publications in the directory that excite you
check out the monthly links I send free to subscribers
If you want to chat about those topics:
join the monthly community conversation … each month, I’ll post a question here on the Threadstack Substack and you can use the comments to answer it and connect with one another
comment on anything else I write or share on Threadstack and engage with others who comment … after all, it’s the conversations that we have that make this a community
Stay tuned for interviews and guest post opportunities. I’ll soon be offering interviews which you can answer in written words and/or in photos of your crafty work. Later in the year, I’ll also offer guest post opportunities.
Crochet gives me joy!
Announcing: Craft Heals Workshop/Group
Starting early in February, I’ll be a launching a year-long online group workshop based on my book Hook to Heal. This is a book of one hundred crochet exercises designed to allow for examination and personal development across different areas of life including mindfulness, letting go, building relationships and self-care.
Although the exercises are designed for crocheters, I’m inviting any Threadstacker to join in and we can adapt the exercises accordingly. There will be a lot of flexibility in terms of how, and how often, you join. Stay tuned for a new email with all of the details soon.
What is a Threadstack Subscription?
Threadstack’s directory will always be free and public. Essays, interviews, etc. will always be free and public. However, you can sign up for a monthly or annual subscription to support this work. As extra perks, paying subscribers will get discounts on workshops and books, occasional snail mail from me (small crochet art pieces and handmade cards, mostly) and the joy of knowing that you’re a patron of the fiber arts.
