Threadstack Directory
(What Happened to It)
When Threadstack launched, this page was a living directory of Substack newsletters about yarn, thread, fabric, and fiber. Writers filled out a form, got listed, and the idea was that makers could find one another here.
It was a good idea that didn’t survive contact with reality. Newsletters change. Writers shift their focus. Keeping a directory accurate is a full-time effort, and after a while, an outdated directory is worse than no directory at all.
So I let it go.
If you’re looking to find fiber arts writers on Substack, the best approach now is to search directly on Substack using terms like crochet, knitting, weaving, embroidery, textile, or fiber arts.
The community is there, it’s just not something I’m curating anymore in the same way. That said, it’s a community that I love and I do what I can to be a part of it including writing here on THREADSTACK …
