Open Invitation to Share Your Craft in a THREADSTACK Interview
If you love yarn and thread, fiber and fabric, and you want to share your craft story, you're welcome to participate.
THREADSTACK is both a directory and a community. I offer a variety of opportunities to engage in to build the community part of it. Really, this is only as interesting and informative and connected as you choose for it to be through your engagement.
So, I’m excited to offer a new way for us to get to know you and your craft work: INTERVIEWS.
Everyone who enjoys yarn and thread, fiber and fabric has an open invite to participate by answering the interview questions for a feature here on THREADSTACK.
Some things you might want to know:
Anyone is welcome to participate - you do not have to be part of the THREADSTACK directory to share your interview responses.
This interview is a form, not a 1:1 conversation or email exchange. I love to connect 1:1 and I’ll be offering some of those interviews throughout the year as well. This way, though, you get to share what you want to share in a way that makes it possible for me to share more of your words.
Interviews are shared in the order they are received. I try to publish all interviews within a month of receiving them. However, I’m one human juggling all of the things that one creative human does in this lifetime, so the publication time will vary.
Photos and links are allowed. You’ll see where to add photos in the form.
Substack byline offered. If you have your own Substack, I’ll add your name as an author byline. You should receive an email to accept that if you would like to do so.
There are a lot of questions but very few are required to answer. Ultimately, I want to share what you want to share. The more you share, with the more detail, the better the interview turns out.
Unfortunately, there is no payment available. I believe that artists should be paid for their work including for the time and energy that they share in interviews. If I ever earn extra spending money, I’ll begin offering a small stipend. For now, this is a community exchange.
There is, of course, no fee for participation. And there won’t be a paywall - the interview is accessible for anyone to read here on THREADSTACK.
That said, this work does take a lot of work, and if you’re inclined to support that, your paid subscription to Substack or a one-time Venmo donation in any amount to KVercillo is greatly appreciated.
