Our Little Threadstack Is All Grown Up
Threadstack is now it's own Substack newsletter, Separate from Create Me Free
Welcome! If you love yarn and thread, fiber and fabric then you’ve found the right place.
Threadstack is both a directory and a community for all of the people on Substack who love yarn and thread, fabric and fiber. It’s for the people who knit, crochet, sew, quilt, weave, embroider, needle felt, dye, spin, etc.
If you follow what I’m doing over on Create Me Free then you know that it is where Threadstack first launched. I have since realized that instead of being a section of my own publication, it should be its own newsletter. It’s a community and it can stand on its own! So, here it is!
If you landed here and don’t know me from Create Me Free, well hi! I’m Kathryn Vercillo. I am the author of Crochet Saved My Life and Hook to Heal, which are books about the benefits of crochet. At Create Me Free I write about the complex relationship between art and mental health. I love living in San Francisco, I love being in my mid-forties, and I love my two Japanese mastiff rescue dogs.
And I wholeheartedly believe in the power of the craft community. It has been where I have found myself again and again. It has been a safety net of support and inspiration. It has been where I have met the most interesting people. And Threadstack is a place for us to come together in that spirit.
Where to Start:
